Here are the stats for the players who've played every game since McGrady was shut down for the season. Gives an indication of who stepped up, and who didn't (mostly, who didn't). Code: mpg pts/40 reb/40 ast/40 stl/40 blk/40 to/40 pf/40 TS% GS/40 ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- Alston 40.5 13.2 4.2 6.6 1.5 0 3.3 3.0 46.4% 8.9 Head 39.5 12.9 4.3 3.5 1.6 0.3 1.8 2.2 60.0% 10.8 Bogans 38.3 9.2 5.1 3.6 1.2 0.3 1.7 3.0 44.4% 6.5 Howard 31.9 14.8 8.8 1.3 0.8 0 2.4 3.3 51.1% 9.2 Yao 36.3 28.5 12.2 2.1 0.7 1.8 3.7 4.0 62.2% 21.7 Swift 16.7 16.9 7.2 0.8 0.3 1.4 2.1 6.9 51.3% 8.9 Brunson 11.4 8.9 3.3 5.4 1.2 0.2 2.6 3.5 45.3% 5.9 The numbers are self expanatory. All are per 40 minutes. TS% is scoring efficiency (combines FG%, 3FG%, and FT%), and a good TS% is over 55%, average is maybe around 53%, and anything below 50% is just terrible. GS/40 is a game score rating, per 40 minutes. Gives an overall indication of how well they played while on the court, based on the box score numbers. Average would be around 13 or 14. It's pretty clear that Yao has gotten virtually no help. Only Luther has improved, but even he isn't starting caliber.
I like this one best: pf/40 - Swift: 6.9 The overall impression is Keith Bogans is the worst player on this team. Not a surprise.
I admire Bogans for the defense he tries to play, but this dude is effin trash. Not a good finisher and hardly a shooter by any means. His defense is fairly solid and I know we don't have another person to stick in there other than Flaming Ryan. I hope bogans does some plyometrics, and shooting drills because he can be a fairly decent player.
