Has anybody watched the current cable movie "Walkout" about the 1960's walkout of Hispanic highschool students in LA? The movie depicts kids protesting that there were only abut 20 Hispanic students in the whole Cal U system and that virtually all Hispanics were funneled into shop and non-college bound courses. Interestingly, the movie was made by one of the LA 13, who the movie depicts as they were beaten and charged with crimes for walking out. The current mayor of LA and many of the Hispanics in important positons of power were among those who walked out. Hopefully the kids walking out now will go on to great things, too.
they did it just to get out of class, walking out solves nothing, didn't you see the immigration thread.
