What is the deal with his test scores. Did he cheat? Is cheating implied here because there has been no mention of it. Maybe he just didn't try the first time and this time he was serious about the test. In this case I would be furious over them not accepting my scores.

Now onto the real question would you pick him? I wouldn't, he is not developed a 2 which means he would never likely start for us and would screw us one way or the other. Either the pick alienates Mobely to the point where he signs elsewhere or else we sign Mobely and are stuck with a 2 maybe a combo 1 or 2 guard that gets not PT and makes guaranteed money. Maybe a good 2nd rounder but definately not a first rounder.

the thing with the SATs is that any major increase in scores between tests (I don't remember the exact amount) get red flagged, and that goes for everyone, not just atheletes. I think SATs suck, even though it was the crux of my full ride. they say the SATs are supposed to test you on your abilities acquired throughout life; that's bs. They say that about the ASVAB too. Until we get something like the BAC in the US, our educational system will be a continual failure. Manditory armed forces service for HS drop outs would help too.

    Interesting.....

Don't you get 400 points for merely filling out your name correctly on the SAT? And he made a 450 the first time?!?!?

A 700 point increase huh? WOW, the boy must have hit the books hard, or had some "help" when he took the test. Either way, I can see why he changed his mind. I would not want to take that godforsaken test again either. Besides, if they don't have concrete proof something underhanded occured, why would they make him retake it?

    I agree with you Kim.

That just goes to show you need to send your honor student neighbor of yours to take your SAT the first time .

Kim, they do have the Bac; I took it in high school (though the U of C wouldn't accept high scores on it to forego core classes -- damn them!). As for Stevenson, I think red-flagging means they think he cheated but can't prove it. So he has to take the test again and if he can get that 1150 again, he probably didn't cheat. His deciding not to take the test again implies that he did cheat. I was hoping he only got that 450 the first time because he was on downers or something. I guess not.

Now would I pick him? No, we need our picks for the front-court. Maybe at #41, I'd do it.
