Lebowski Fest FINALLY comes to Texas

    I have been on the Lebowski Fest mailing list for a few years. Today they sent an email out confirming that there will be a fest in Austin this year on May 19-20. Tickets will go on sale in March. The fests started in Louisville, in 2002, and have grown into a yearly event held in Louisville, New York, LA, Las Vegas and now Austin.

    They have a screening of the film, free bowling, actors from the film, White Russians, Sarsparillas, and other what-have-you. Usually Jeff Dowd, who was the real-life inspiration for "The Dude" is in attendance. Next month in LA, they even have a band performing as Autobahn, and Peter Exline, who was the inspiration for Walter.
