We are looking at buying a house and in the future would want to add a interior, non load bearing wall to "create" another room. It would be "standard" height, 8-10ft, whatever and about 15 feet wide. Anyone had a wall built or work in construction have any idea if this is crazy expensive to do? Thanks

    Not hard at all.

Where you might start running into issues is if you want to run power or plumbing through the wall, or having a door in the wall. Then it can get tricky, but it's not a major deal.

Im building my own home right now, and Ill give you a lil piece of advice:

Hire a professional. You might save a few bucks doing it yourself, but it will cost you in quality and your own sanity.

I've been working on my house for month's now and the one word of advice I can give you is that most things take much longer than you think.

As for putting a wall in I presume this is an interior wall in which case the framing isn't that hard along with the drywalling, just tedious and dusty. Running wiring and plumbing is trickier and my advice is to get a profssional to help with those.
