i rarely use my account anymore, and i dont have any sort of money in there for them to hold, but i was curious. paypal seems to be one f*cked up system from what i've heard, so this made me suspicious. i'm not even sure i know what it means.

    thoughts?

    It's a phishing scam.

DO NOT respond or click anything in the email..

    Forward it to:

    spoof@paypal.com

Don't ever click any links in ANYTHING your recieve from ebay, paypal or your bank via email. Only go to their website in a seperate browser and log into your account. If there is a problem with your account you'll notice it after you log in... but as said above, phishing scams like this are all over the place.

They all go to my hotmail account. I don't even know why I still check the stupid account honestly. I never get any email there except for spam. I hate hotmail.

Do people still fall for this stuff? Did we magically travel back in time to 2001? Wow, did anybody see that pass from Steve to Walt Williams? Damn, this Rockets team is going to be scary in a couple of years...

Sometimes they are real and people just want to make sure. A few months ago I got a similar email so I closed out of my browser and scanned and cleared everything. I then logged into my PayPal account and sure enough my account had been limited. I contacted PayPal through telephone to make sure it was real and they told me yes and that a third party tried accessing my account. They verified my account but after that I told them to close it.
