When I use my track pad and the mosue pauses over an item, it acts as though I left clicked and it selects or opens whatever I am hovering over. It is fraking annoying and I dont see where to turn it off.

    Help!

Are you sure you're not accidentally double-touching the pad? Double-touching the pad is like double-clicking the mouse.

You need to change the left click sensitivity setting on your touch pad.

I figured it out. It was a trackpad advanced "feature".

edit: ok maybe not... arrgh. It isn't under the mouse control panel either.
