I'm looking to buy a used car as a project.. We used to have a thread here and I had it booked marked, but now with one of the updates to the BBS the link is no longer valid.. The thread was about things to look for when buying a used car can anyone help find that thread?? I tried the search without any luck Thanks guys.. Edit-- the thread had all kinds of tricks and things to look for when buying used.. I do know some things about cars but not tons, most major repair I have done is change a “U” joint on a driveshaft, but that was years ago when I was really into cars and I’m looking to get back into them… I'm will have it looked at by a certified mechanic.. compression test, check the trans, look for body damage, pull carfax, ex.. I have never bought used before and do not want to get a lemon..
