Any way we can get Joe Johnson??

    Atlanta has screwed up big time. We probably dont have the financial resources and I am sure that Phoenix would definitely match any offers from WC team. But, is there any way we can do a sign and trade?? At the same time, can we afford having Johnson, Ming, and T-Mac on max contracts??

    Very few teams can afford three max contracts. Plus, Joe doesn't seem to want to be a role player, which will be his place here. So, don't bother.

    I feel sure he will sign with us for the minimum and Phoenix wont match. There is not a snowballs chance in hell this happens.

    Like 1% chance that we somehow get Joe Johnson this offseason. Phoenix won't give him to us. For what? Vin Baker?

    if it's a player like kevin garnett making him your third max player would be the thing to do but not for joe johnson. joe johnson may be a max player for a team like the hawks but next to Yao and Tracy he is a very good role player and would deserve a fair contract but not the max. it'd be a disaster for this teams salary cap and future to give a player like jj the max.

    No way we can get him, besides JJ said himself that he wants to be the main guy...over here he would be 3rd behind yao and t-mac

    No no no! We traded Jim Jackson so T-Mac could play his natural position remember? I don't care how good the player is, we can't afford to have T-Mac chasing those 2 guards all night long.
