    in what way?

    the iriver player has a screen you can actually look at, you can do voice recording, you have an fm tuner, you don't have to mess with itunes (which is a pain IMO), and costs about the same.

    now tell me how an Ipod shuffle is better. maybe you were thinking i was talking about Ipods in general but i'm not. Ipod Shuffle is a waste of money.

    hey it's one man's opinion. I had an Ipod Mini and I loved it (gave it to my g/f). I just feel that an Ipod without a screen and the click wheel is not much of an Ipod. It should be mandatory that any mp3 player needs a screen plain and simple. If not to look at the playlist, at least to check on battery life or time.

    The iriver also weighs almost 3x as much as the ipod shuffle, when you count the battery.
