How mortifying. "Billy Don't Be A Hero" by Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods was No. 1 in the US on 6/19/74, and in the UK it was "The Streak" by Ray Stevens.

    Eeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuwwwww.

    On 8/7/74 it was:

In the U.S. Annie's Song by John Denver (ewwww!).
In the UK Rock Your Baby by George McCrae(never heard of it).

That is a cool site. Very Interesting.

    My wife's (3/10/69) were a little better

"Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas (US).
"You're the First My Last My Everything" by Barry White (UK).

An all-time classic tune and Barry White. Not too shabby.

In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.

How fitting, the U.S. number 1 on the 31st October 1972 was My Ding-a-Ling by Chuck Berry.

Coincidentally, the U.K. number 1 on the 31st October 1972 was Mouldy Old Dough by Lieutenant Pigeon.

    In the U.S. it was
    "Convoy" by CW McCall

    In the UK it was:
    "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen

Oh my god Convoy is a terrible song, how on god's green earth did that thing get to #1 at any point! I like Queen, but man Bohemian Rhapsody is horrible to! What on earth happened that day!?

Since I ran into a train wreck of a song list on the day I was born I decided to look the day I graduated from High School:

    In the US:
    "I Swear" by All-4-One

    In the UK:
"Love Is All Around" by Wet Wet Wet

"Love Is All Around" is a decent song, but "I Swear" is one of my all-time favorite songs though. I'm satisfied now! [IMG]
