Well it's not really a forest back there yet, but it's getting pretty noticable. It may be time for a seasonal wax job....

Having to hold any reading material with semi-small print at a full arms length, yet still being able to only make out some of the words.:(

I refuse to get reading glasses (a sure sign you are "over the hill")

That's another good reason to get good at Martial Arts so you can say stuff like that and not having to worry about the repercussions. ;)

Stuff up close is fine. I got a little nearsighted around the end of high school; to read stuff that is far away, I can squint and then everything is brought back into sharp focus, like when I was a kid. I don't think it's really gotten worse since then, though. Never have gotten glasses. :)

When I noticed all the "12 year olds" playing college sports. Man they look young.

I take solace in the fact that I can still beat them sports.

The ear hair is a dead giveaway but for me it is also my metabolism finally slowing down. I'll be 32 this year and for years, I NEVER had to worry about gaining weight. So, I ate whatever I wanted and never gained any weight thanks to a very high metabolism.

Well, about a month ago, I wasn't running like I should and found myself eating out more than usual. All of the sudden, my weight had ballooned from 193 to 200. It was a punch in the gut, but I realized right then that the days of eating all the junk food I could eat was over. It also made me realize how important it is to run so many times a week (which I have happily stepped that up in my life).

One other thing about getting old - I absolutely DETEST having people call me "mister" or "sir", especially when they look like they are only a couple years younger than me.:(

I feel you, man. They were talking about Aaron Glenn on 610 yesterday saying he getting old. He's 32....

I do that too. All the time.

Mine came a few years ago when a bunch of my old college friends decided to get together for a weekend. Kind of like a Big Chill thing. I figured we would all be doing the same things we did in college (ie. drinking and partying) but it turned into a bunch of people sitting around talking about what clothes they buy their kids. :(

Tell Ati that Abby sent you.

I realized I was old when I was running to 1st base on a bloop to the outfield and my foot got stuck between the front of the base and the ground. The foot stayed there and I kept moving.

    Pop.

Never quite the same since then.

Bingo. We have a winner. This fact kills me and eats a piece of my soul everyday.

I still feel like a 12-year old, Warren Moon worshipping, little boy.

I don't know how old you are, but if you have an autographed Bible, then I must have a piece of Noah's Ark :)

    When I was about 50.

Seriously, I ceased to be able to run around 40 though I can still walk 18 carry a bag , no problem at 52. I have a diminished lung capacity, from my 30 years pot abuse I guess. (I'm a rare toker now)

When I say no problem I mean nothing 800 mg of Ibuprofren won't take care of.
