    I need to get some VU stuff but haven't yet, so I had to go with what I own which is the New York Dolls' debut (haven't listened to it in ages though). I am going to buy Janes Addiction stuff soon but right now like with VU, I don't own anything but I do own "Daydream Nation" and "Dirty" by Sonic Youth (once again it has been ages since I listened to those CDs).

    The Buzzcocks were one of the greatest and most underrated punk bands ever - "Singles Going Steady" is a CD that should be owned by anybody who calls themselves a punk fan. As for Talking Heads against Dead Kennedys - own 1 album by both but I like the Talking Heads a little more.

    The Replacements are a great underrated band - "Tim" is one of my all-time favorite albums - it is a crime that I don't listen to it as much as I should. Radiohead - I don't think I really need to comment here as most know how I feel about them.:)

    The Pixies are solid and should mop the floor with the Byrds besides Wilco was robbed! As much as I love and admire Motorhead, Joy Division was one of the most important and influential post-punk bands ever. If you are a big Interpol fan and fans of bands like that (The Strokes, etc.), you owe a HUGE debt to Ian Curtis and the gang.
