With Juwan's status, can we avail the med. exception at this point in time?

    No.

If it is deemed that Howard will be out for all of next year, which has not been said at this point, we would receive a medical exception for 1/2 of Howard's salary next year- 2.95 million.

Since the odds right now of Howard being out for next year are slim, and a <3 mill exception that can not be aggregated with the MLE is relatively insignificant in terms of our PF search, and this has no bearing on our current situation, I would say that this is a pretty moot issue.
