Does Hotmail give you an alert?

I'm worried that someone may have my email password and could get into my account.

I know of course that I can (and will) just change it, but I'm wondering if that happened or not already. Does Hotmail tell you if your account is possibly being accessed by anyone else?

I imagine that all they would be able to tell is if it's being accessed by a different IP/computer...in which case that could just be the same person at a different computer so there isn't anything to be bothered with.

Does Hotmail alert you in any way about this sort of thing?

Are you talking about when you log in to your MSN Messenger, or when you log in to Hotmail? The latter doesn't, but MSN Messenger does.

If this is your case, fix it by NOT allowing MSN Messenger to sign you in automatically, and not allowing MSN Messenger to let you sign in to your HOTMAIL automatically.

I'm talking about Hotmail, like will hotmail send you an email letting you know if other computers are accessing your email than your usual IP.

    What does Messenger do?

Why don't you just change your password?

    No, it won't.

What is an "usual IP", anyway? IPs change like I correct people's spelling and grammar on threads.
