EBGames supposedly had a page dedicated to a Halo 2 Expansion Pack, giving the following description: They listed it at $19.99, but it seems like they took it down now. Toys R Us and Gamecrazy are supposed to have it listed in their systems for $19.99. Bungie may officially announce this soon, possibly this Friday. So, what's the "but..." for? For pooping silly J/K The problem is that Bungie supposedly said that they would release all this content for free, and it sounds like they will indeed release it for free for Xbox Live users. Chances are that you would only be able to download them in increments, possibly meaning that you would end up completing all this much later than when this expansion pack goes on sale. So, you may be paying $20 for something that was intended to be and still may be free. I should say that this may be jumping the gun a little bit, since Bungie hasn't officially announce all of this, but it sounds like it is legit. Until it is confirmed, just treat this as a hypothetical situation I guess. For those who have Halo 2, would you buy this expansion pack, and if you would, would you still be happy about it? I'd imagine no, but maybe some people (me included) are making too big of a deal out of this.
man that sucks, that's another reason I love PC gaming. The mod community does a damn good job of creating some awesome maps/games for FREE.
If you have XBOX Live, it'll be a free download. That expansion pack is only for the people who can't get the download through XBOX Live
Bungie has said all along they would release updates incrementally.. This sounds like a great money making scheme.. release all the new maps and updates at once on a cd and make people pay 20 bucks for it if they want it now.. or make them wait a few months if they use xbox live. deliciously evil.
Unless they make the last third of the game avalible to download......Im not buying it. They hyped up the game....made me pay AU$100 for it......a game that had the worst ending of any game or movie you will ever see..... Im still p*ssed off!
