Have a question about wiring funds.... I need to wire some money. I have to transfer funds to another account, from which I will wire the money. Anyways, is there generally a "wait" time that must be done before funds can be wired? I am using Compass bank, and will try to stop by there later today to find out. I have never wired money before. Any info is greatly appreciated.
LOL. I didn't know if there was a law or something that makes you have the money in your account first for a certain amount of days before it can be wired. I guess not.
It seems that your question is more in regards to a hold on funds in the account that money will be withdrawn from. I don't recall a specific law on that matter.......... the bank's policy, your account history etc will be the factors to be considered. Did you very recently add funds to that account from a check or something else that would make the bank hesitant to allow your wire transfer to go through?
Well, I haven't quite transfered the funds over yet. It needs to be wired by the 4th and am wondering if I will need to write the check to transfer the funds today when I have the time.
