Van Chancellor HOF Finalist

    this morning on nbatv they had the Hall of Fame finalists and Van Chancellor was nominated to get in as a coach for the 4 rings he got with the comets and the gold medal in the olympics as a coach.

    He would be going in as a coach if he makes the next cut.
    There were 16 and I think the field gets trimmed to 8 and then 6 by a panel of judges who vote.

    but still congrats Van it still a pretty big accomplishment to get this far

    i started watching basketball when phi slamma jamma was just starting and so i have a lot of affection for guyV. and while I think he deserves the HOF i'm sure a lot of people who don't vote for him feel he really blew the NCState game. I mean the Cougs were always more of a great group of talent then necessary a well coached team. unfortunately i'm sure that plays in a lot of voters minds.
