Need some information from those of you that have eaten at the Rainbow Lodge. I'm taking my wife there this Wednesday for our anniversary, so I need some tips on what is good and what I should stay away from. I know this place specializes in wild game, but neither of us are real excited about that....do they have just regualr beef steaks, shrimp, etc? I've heard this is a nice romantic place, so that's what made me decide on it. Plus it sounds like something different so why not give it a shot.

We've got a reservation reserved in the Wine Room, whatever that is.

I live about a minute away from there and have been numerous times. Even if you don't like wild game, they have plenty there that is good. I'm sure you'll find something you like.

I've never had anything bad there. I've eaten there 4 times. They have a very wide ranging menu, game and non-game. Harrisment...I believe you are safe no matter what you order.

    You b*stard!

This is my secret place to bring dates.

It is an incredible place to bring people.

    Order the "Sampler platter".

It typically has Elk, Deer and Quail, but whatever is on it is always bad-ass.

I would recommend the chef's special four or five course dinner with wine pairings. Tell the waiter that you don't want to be rushed though.

Great, thanks for the suggestions guys.

One more thing...can somebody reccomend a good red wine? I hear they have a great selection, but I really don't know much about wine. I'd like to get something that is good, but not something that is going to break the bank. I'm thinking about a $60 bottle max, preferably less than that.
