With the new focus on Revenue Bond, Memphis is step closer getting to the Grizzlies

To update you all, a petition to force a public vote in Memphis on the use of general obligation bonds has been avoided today by the new financial plan, which uses Revenue Bonds instead. Under the old plan, part of the obligation bonds were being backed by property taxes, which was the main concern of the petition group. This new deal all but guarantees the Grizzlies will play in Memphis next year.
