Is the situation so bad that he will have minimal impact or is there enough talent for him to turn things in the right direction?

No one can transform Andre Miller and a sh-tload of nobodys into a decent team.

They get talented rookies...but the talented rookies just can't get consecutive W's.

I'm so happy for Lucas. He's a great guy, and I think he's got some players to work with.

With the anticipated return of Zydrunas Ilgauskas, you could see a Z/Mihm frontcourt which would fare pretty well against the treeless east.

Miller is a stud. Their glaring weakness is at the 2/3 spot, more importantly the shooting guard spot, as I like Lamond Murray at small forward. He's a solid player. I also like Matt Harpring, and not because he's talented, just because he brings it every night.

With the team he's going to have, they're going to have to win with energy and defense. Attacking the zone would not be wise given the players on that team.

Isn't his return anticipated every year? I just won't believe that the guy can actually play more than a handful of games until I see it. If he does manage to stay healthy, though, I think the team could do some things and maybe make the playoffs.

Z, unfortunately, won't play a full season ever again. It's too bad, because he'd be one of the best centers in the league if he could play a whole season. As for Lucas, I don't think anyone expects him to get them into the Finals. Now that they finally got rid of Kemp, they've got some rebuilding to do. I think Lucas will keep the lockerroom from getting poisonous while they undergo that rebuilding.
