Oh this is indeed rich, the mighty self proclaimed conquistador fete-ing himself on wine coolers and such. The mental imagery is priceless.

I almost feel sorry for TJ. For a moment he opens up and exposes his true self and gets endlessly teased for it.

But then again he is drinking girlie drinks, so...

It's really an insult to the term "beer" for Jorge to quantify these sugary chick beverages in the same category, really.

A girlie "beer" is something like Amstel Light, that tastes like ass but chicks will drink at bars & resto's under the illusion that it will keep their arses from expanding - which of course it won't.

These drinks that jorge consumes in lieu of beer are just a k-mart version of the various Cosmopolitans and Manhattans that the Sex in the City girls drink.

At least he didn't say Zima with a splash of cherry Grenadine.

Gents, lest ye misinterpret the Mighty Conquistador's preferences for beer, I typically do not drink Jack Daniels Hard Cola, I was merely offering it up for conversation. I drink a wide assortment of macro-brews (Bud, MGD, Coors) as well as the occasional German beer. Augustiner-brau and Franziskaner are my two favorites. Paulaner a close third. When in Mexico, I drink Dos Equis.

Agree to both. With the "kindred foods" section, it is simply, the best that is available at those restaurants. I do like the three beers in general, but I would always pick something over them. Although Singha would be perfect if I wanted a sweet beer.

I just got two pounds of deer meat from my friends who killed two over the weekend. This thread reminded me of the chili recipes that were submitted a while back in a thread asking for such recipes. Anybody mind refreshing my memory on this one specific recipe, I remember it called for beer and salt pork. Beer deer chili tomorrow, yum, yum!

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." - Ben Franklin

When in Texas: Lone Star tall boys ($2 at Rudyards)

When in PA: Iron City, Straub (no preservatives=no hangover) or Yuengling

    p.s. Re: the deer. Gross.

Bats, as your GOOD FRIEND, you know that I am constantly thinking about your well being. With that in mind, I sense that hangovers may be a concern of yours, judging by your last post. I recommend that you try the Chaser pill, which can be purchased at Walgreen's or CVS. Once the skeptic, I was won-over by their effectiveness. I take them before going out drinking and wake up feeling VIGOROUS.

Just a word of recommendation from your GOOD FRIEND.

Thanks Jorge, but I don't drink that much these days anyway. Just passing on the good news about Straub, which was introduced to me as the "no hangover" beer.

You are a good friend though. I appreciate it.

    I like that.

Drinking a beer is a timeless action. It only happens in the Now.

Anyone ever tried Chimay? A little on the expensive side, but it has a unique taste that I like every once in a while. It's made by monks in Belgium.

Yes. It's supposed to be one of the best beers, but I just found it strange...
