You have to be incredibly stupid to believe this team is just one player away (FVV) from being a contender. Truly stupid. The Durant trade was a disaster, and sitting back during trade deadline should have been the end of Stone. Stone and Udoka shouldn't be here next season.

“Is this just not our year?”
probably the stupidest comment out of a GM. Any good GM would find ways to mitigate clear roster gaps but no. We're fine with what we have

I was going to bump but thank you. I can't wait for that day. I will be so happy when it happens. We had no one else to turn to in the bench because everyone else sucked beside tate... that's so sad. We had to play tate which he gave us good minutes but no one really thought he would play this year.

The job of a good GM is precisely that: to find ways to maximize the team's potential.
Even more so when your main move was trading for an aging star. Stone shouldn't have a job once the season is over.

The Durant trade itself is not a disaster, but every move Stone made following the trade - definitely was. And also every move Stone didn’t make.
And yeah, the FVV assumption is indeed stupid. I mean, if you believe that a type of player like him is what we’re missing, then sign a da*n pg!! Even if tomorrow Fred is back, who’s gonna back him up?
    So frustrating.

We could have been in the mix for AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer or Darryn Peterson if Stone was not leveraged to give up Brooklyn's 2026 pick

    He deserves to be fired.

He had 4 top 4 picks and didn't draft a single 'franchise player'. Signed Ime Udoka. Signed FVV over Harden. Had a chance to salvage this season and rectify his mistake by trading for Harden, refused to even attempt it.

He's had every opportunity to rebuild this team into a powerhouse and failed at each turn. He's not a contending-quality GM.

Stone took a big swing and he missed. I can live with that. What I can't handle is all of the other stuff on top of it. This is such an obscenely flawed roster it's not even funny. Someone has to be held accountable for that.

I mean I get the jabari smith one; he got bamboozed on draft night but he got amen with one of them and he did not do well in his draft minus getting sengun for nothing.

I agree with everything until it became all about Harden......which is fine....Harden has matured but still it was not his sole mistake nor what he will remembered by.....

He will be remembered by 'Not our year', KPJ and not getting a ball handler to pair up with KD after FVV went down ........

100%, but reality is we owe Udoka $55 the next 5 seasons and IT’S ALL GUARANTEED!!! He ain’t going nowhere. Who, of course, gave him that ludicrous contract…..the lawyer. Fire Stone asap!!!

Fire Stone. I don't think it's his fault he never had the right draft pick to get franchise altering talent and he has mostly picked solid guys but there hasn't been a single transaction that has given us better basketball players on the court and certainly not a more cohesive team. Fred and Dillon helped a bit in the locker room - I'll give him that but I think it's very fair to say our GM has lost every transaction where he has signed someone thinking it was going to help us put out a better starting 5 or better rotation.

    - For all of Fred's leadership value - he is an average starting PG on most nights and while that's better than young guys learning on the job, the point is no part of your ceiling should be tied to guys like Fred or Stevo.
    - KD is proving he is a team cancer.
    - DFS has been pretty bad,
    - Adams has been high level at spots but also has been injured or recovering for most of his time under contract here,
    - Okogie has been okay for what he is but what he is is a low quality defensive specialist who is mostly a liability offensively)
    - Capela has been fairly mid but ultimately impacted our ability to make other more meaningful transactions.
