The team could lose 95-90 and Ime would be talking about how they need to play better defense. MFer never thinks that maybe, just maybe, the disjointed uncreative offense that only works for KD to get his shots might be an issue.

His whole idea of generating looks is for KD or Sengun to get doubled and maybe they pass it to an open guy... that's it, that's the entire offensive gameplan. It's predictable, that's why teams can lock up and generate TOs and stop it.

Is there anything in this offense to get Amen going? To get Bari going? If a guy gets hot off the bench, is there anything for that guy to get going?

EDIT: Also, big problem with the offense is half the team can't shoot. If Bari or Reed is having an off night, the team is **** out of luck basically, since lord knows there is little that will be done to get them easier shots in the paint.

yup, and when they trap KD, we don’t even get shots off to brick because this dude just turns it over on the pass or dribbles the ball off his foot

How delusional are the Fertitas?

 

My biggest critique of the Ime era is that none of our young guys have had the chance to learn how to actually play.

The philosophy of CTE Iso offense + crash the glass hard + bully defense maybe maximized our net rating the last two years, but it’s taught our young guys nothing about how to execute competent NBA offense and defense, just shortcuts.

Just short term maximization instead of long term.

 

If the Rockets go on a 10-game winning streak starting from next game, perhaps some of my lost hope will be revived.

But somehow...I doubt it

He's a funny guy or at least intelligent enough to talk ball in most cases.

Ime is at least somewhat competent but Stone is completely incompetent.

 

The team will probably finish fine, it would be an epic collapse for them to slide down to the play in...I even think there is some chance they will play better in the playoffs since they have a tendency to play down to opponents and play lazy and do less of that against better teams but it is all fool's gold.

Barring major injury luck (their opponents losing major players in the playoffs) this team is like I've said, at best 2nd round. I only say this because these other teams we're bunched with I don't think they are any good either. Minnesota gave this game away multiple times Rockets just sucked more than them.

Nuggets are the only team in this bunch that has a legit shot and that's because of Jokic and Murray. The rest of these teams have some major flaws.

The sad part is, Rockets are here because of talent, Ime has done this team NO favors.

If Ime were coaching the Wizards they would not even have 10 wins, that's how bad he's coached this team this year.
