How in the world did you let the lowest-IQ player inbound the ball from the backcourt in a 1-point game? We fans deserve an answer
There is no way the Rockets will fire Ime this year, but they better force him to fire all of his assistant lackeys and hire some legit veteran coaches whose brain power can make up for what he lacks.
Did the Rockets have any timeouts to advance to half court? Cuz unless I'm wrong, why allow the ball to be given away RIGHT UNDER THE BASKET to begin with
Not calling TOs to advance the ball in end-of-game situations and choosing the dumbest player on your team to inbound is exactly where a seasoned veteran coach can help Ime, unless he's too insecure and stubborn to listen. The whole point of having seasoned assistants is to chime in and help a younger coach make better decisions on things like substitutions and TOs. Not to mention, running an offense. Ime has many gaps to fill in.
One of the problems with the current crop Rockets assistant coaches is none of them are on anybody's list of potential new head coaches for the 2026/27 season.
This roster is not as bad as Ime makes it look. He doesn’t utilize his players well. We’ve been needing pg play all season but he refused to allow Holiday/Reed take ahold of the offense. He keeps playing all these trash slow forwards that can’t shoot or pass. The players found a group that work for them. Tari and DFS aren’t a part of that. Find a way to work with DFS but Tari should be benched. He’s playing a losing selfish brand of basketball right now. Keep him on the bench. Now I see why stone is looking at Ime like “you have point guards, play them”. I don’t really give af about their little beef because they both have made mistakes. I just need Ime to play the right players and stop losing on purpose to prove a ****ing point. No help is coming, work with what you got.
I don't blame Tari. He is what he is. Ime is the one who decided to put him (and the team) in a situation to fail.
Ime spit the bit big time he had 4 non shooters with Durant and we got scorched at the end of the third. Then, when Reed comes in and saves the day with ball movement and shot making, he defers to KD late to try to create and KD spit the bed as usual. Then, after they hit 2 FTs to get within 1, he has the dumbest guy on the team throwing it in...with Tari but WORSE he didn't ADVANCE THE GDamned ball to the front court up 1...how stupid do you have to be. REED IS LITERALLY SAVING IME's job.... DD
My thing too was Tari clapping his hands for the ball when Amen had the first opportunity to inbound. Dude, be for ****ing real. You are not that guy.
