Hoping for a loss again, maybe 10 straight losses will force them to force to play JD, start Reed, cut DFS minutes etc
What's odd is that Jabari has been playing great since that story came out. Meanwhile, Tari who I don't think was mentioned by KD has looked like he doesn't even belong in the NBA.
Tari got away from his summer coaching, the longer he's coached by Ime, the worse he gets, month by month. Bari responded to Katie's coaching via Twitter and said I'll show you r****ded becauseIme doesn'tknow what to do with him. Sengun's back just keeps breaking from carrying the offense because Ime can't coach offense so he makes it up as he goes. Amen said F it, I'll just drive to the basket repeatedly and dare the opponents to stop him because no offensive plays are run for him by Ime. Katie just begging for opponents to stop doubling because he too old to move around and Ime can't find ways to get him open. Reed gets pulled for any mistake he makes by Ime. In other words, fire Ime and hire a coach that can coach both sides of the court.
Not watching! It sucks because I've been a huge Rockets fan since 91 when I started watching at 11 with my grandfather who adored Hakeem. I was hooked. Fell off in college (no way to watch much Rockets bball 4hrs away from HOU) BUT got back to it through NBA LP in the mid-2000s. Saw most games all the way until Silas, and after that first season I wanted to throw up, so I fell off to just catching a game if my wife had plans and I had nothing else to do. The last few years? HOOKED again, pretty much every game. Now? I dunno. I haven't watched consistently since the beginning of Feb, and you know what? I don't regret it. Our team makes zero sense and there's a reason we're barely playing .500 ball, and it ain't AT ALL fun to watch. The worst part is no one remaining from last season has appeared to advance much at all either, make it all the more frustrating. Yes, we've needed a PG. I love Reed, but he's not quite PG material, or at least not one that was going to fill the FVV void. Once again, Rockets were on the verge of true contention (Yao/Tmac/CP3/FVV) and then let down via injury. I'm not saying FVV is at all the caliber of player of the others, only that his role on THIS team was vital, and we didn't have a backup plan or make any reasonable moves. And now we face a team on an 11 game winning streak after losing to the Lakers twice in a row on our homecourt. I hope we win, I really do. I'd just rather do other things right now because... its not fun. Win or lose, the last few years we were usually great to watch. Now? Nah. Its a chore, even most W's.
At this point I'd actively root for losing every game the rest of the season if it meant we'd fire Udoka and start getting this team headed in the right direction.
Rockets games used to be the bright spot of my day......now I just get this dreadful, sinking feeling the closer the game gets. It used to get me through my job...now I work so I don't have to think about the Rockets...what has happened...
