    The funny thing about these low iq posters @RB713 is they have no idea this happens in Saudi Arabia almost every day. MBS has publicly executed more people last year than ever before. If you dare critique the government on social media you'll be thrown in prison for a long time.     Reports of Republican fractures over President Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran have been greatly exaggerated, according to a new poll shared exclusively with The Post Thursday.

    The J.L. Partners survey showed that 83% of likely Republican voters “strongly” or “somewhat” support Operation Epic Fury, while just 9% say they “strongly” or “somewhat” oppose military action against Iran.

    Nearly three-quarters (74%) of respondents say the US should continue its campaign until Iran’s military capabilities are destroyed, with 16% saying Trump should stop the war immediately.

    The poll found 83% of likely Republican voters trust Trump’s judgement. Elsewhere, the poll found that 78% of Republican voters were more likely to support a congressional candidate in this year’s midterms who backs Trump’s military action against Iran, while just 10% said they were more likely to support a candidate who opposes the war.

    Modern day Iran has no more in common with Achaemenid Iran than modern Israel has with ancient Israel or modern Egypt has with ancient Egypt. Modern Iran IS a Shia creation by the Safavids. Even her flag is Shia iconography. It would be like saying the English are not Christian because England predated Christianity while having a flag with St George’s cross in the background.

    But this does not mean the government should not be secular for any of these nations.

    She can say this -- and this isn't the first Iranian I have heard make this claim.

    However, the reality is that Iran has been a predominately Muslim country since the Arabs conquered them well over 1,000 years ago. In fact I think it is closer to like 1,500 years at this point.

    There are a lot of low-key Iranians that are either not very religious or atheists, but that isn't close to the majority.
