With all these FA signings, it's truly difficult to determine which way the Texans will go in Round 1 & 2. Texans no longer need to draft a Guard, although the Texans will probably draft a developmental Guard in Day 3. Looks more likely you will see a trade up for a Tackle or Woods in Round 1. Trent Brown is way too injury prone and the Texans need a long term solution at Right Tackle or Left tackle if they decide to move Ersery to the right side. I would expect the Texans to use a 2nd round pick at Defensive End or CB. Both positions lack adequate backups if starters go down.

Defensive Ends to become familiar with in the 2nd round that would be scheme fits are Zion Young, TJ Parker, Gabe Jacas, Malachi Lawrence, and Dani Dennis-Sutton. Cornerbacks to watch are Brandon Cisse (who ran a 4.40 at his pro day today), Colton Hood, Avieon Terrell, Tacario Davis and Chris Johnson.

Totally in line with you here. Woods is my guy in the first if he is there. Id consider McDonald but think Id be looking at the Jets or Cards to move back if Simpson is still on the board. To get a QB (and his 5th year option) would the Jets give #33, #103 and a '27 2nd? Would Arizona give #34 and #65? Im taking either of those deals if Woods is off the board personally. Id consider them even if he was there.

Since we are no longer forced to take OL in the first two rounds, I'd take the top DT or OL in first round. I would love to get Price with one of our seconds. I have seen a lot of variation on Stowers draft position, but wouldn't mind picking him up in maybe the third.

The Texans have 3 starting guards on the roster so there is no need to use a Day 1 or Day 2 pick on a Guard. I expect the Texans to try and find a trade partner for Jarrett Patterson. If they can't find a trade for him, then I would expect Jarrett to be released. I still expect the Texans to draft a Center somewhere in rounds 3-5.

RN he is the ONLY edge I would draft based on production & measureables. That would be a 2nd rounder unless someone nabs him at end of the first.

I like Lawrence. Obviously he's one of the most athletic edges coming out of the draft. I also like Gabe Jacas and Dani Dennis-Sutton. Both have been productive the last two years and would be good complements to Will and Danielle. You can use Gabe or Dani on 1st and 2nd downs for rushing downs and then bring in Will and Danielle on 2nd and 3rd down where they do the most damage.

I need to see some more pro day results, but Malachi or bust for me (in terms of edge rushers)... lol

Jacas really disappointed me... if he performed at his listed playing weight, it would be different.. but he did not

Dani was close, but the metric used to evaluate pass rushers, he came up short.

Based on all of the OL signings and the trade for Montgomery, should we glean that priority will go to drafting DT, LB, S, and TE?

With our track record on drafting and signing players to improve the offensive line. I don’t have much faith in these new free agent signings. I still want early round picks used on the offensive line. We need young talent.
