Sounds like to me that the USA team is about business, and doesn't want to look like they are f'n around. Dream Team in 92 was business as well. Not comparing the teams production but sometimes you can't look over confident otherwise you'll be roasted if it goes to ****.
All of that.. along with the fact that baseball is the one sport that extra adrenaline and getting amped up doesn’t necessarily ‘help’ you. Pitchers who try to throw harder don’t know where it’s going to end up. Hitters who try to swing harder will end up swinging at stuff in the dirt. It’s why I laugh when people continue to claim how ‘easy’ a sport it is. Its undeniably hard… even for people who have been playing it their whole lives.
