I think everyone knows I love Murphy's game, wanted him in the draft. But I don't think he's anywhere close to a #1 guy, he's a great 2nd or 3rd option, not a guy who's going to carry the offense.

That said, he doesn't have any holes in his game, no fatal flaws that make him unplayable with others - I'd trade Amen for him without a 2nd thought.

A Reed, Murphy, KD, Jabari, Sengun lineup could make some noise and if you want to trade Sengun for a better defensive big, fine by me.

I'm still wondering if you could talk Miami out of Ware and X? for Sengun. Ware's a more traditional big defensively and has stretch potential along with being a lob threat, he's just stuck behind Bam. Doubt you'd get much value out of Riley / Spoelstra.

FVV + Phx27’ for Dejounte Murray

Sengun + Adams for Karl Anthony-Towns + pick

Try to deal DFS + New York pick + 2nds for Ty Jerome

    Murray / Jerome
    Amen / Reed
    KD / Tari
    Jabari / DFS
    KAT / Capella

I don't think I would trade Amen for Trey, but you probably already knew that. Amen is already nearly as good of an offensive player and a better defensive player while being two years younger/having two years' less experience. Trey is a vastly superior jump shooter, but Amen is better at everything else on offense. If you compare year 3 Murphy to what Amen is doing now, it's not even close. If Amen learns to shoot, he is a #1 option, or at least the most valuable #2 option in basketball. Whereas I generally agree with your assessment of Murphy (but you never know I guess).

I'd consider trading Sengun, maybe, although I think it would be a tough decision. I think their trade values are roughly comparable right now; Murphy is easier to fit into any roster, as you mentioned, but Sengun probably has a bigger impact on winning if you can compensate for his weaknesses. Problem is New Orleans likely doesn't want Sengun unless they're also getting rid of Zion and starting over from scratch.

I hope you’re trolling cause if this org sees Tari as untouchable with how he’s performed lately we are utterly, absolutely cooked.

I think u have to look at Atlanta pretty strongly as a trade partner. They’ve got picks and players and are probably looking to mix things up based on a disappointing yr. Obviously I don’t think they let go of JJ, but I doubt anyone else is untouchable. I wonder if that Pels pick is available if it falls out of the top 4. That might be our chance to take another swing. As for players, I don’t see any potential franchise guys beyond JJ, but Okongwu has gotten better every yr and is now shooting 38% from 3 on high volume. I’d be trying to do Sengun plus assets for Okongwu and a pick.

I also think Washington has to be a trade target. Maybe you throw a big Sengun package at them for Sarr.

Per CleaningTheGlass, he (Sengun) is not part of the Rockets’ best 2025-26 lineup.

    That would be

    Clint Capela,
Dorian Finney-Smith (yes, that Dorian Finney-Smith),
    Kevin Durant,
    Amen Thompson, and
    Reed Sheppard.

That group is +38.4 in 154 possessions. That’s not a massive sample size, but it’s consequential enough to talk about.

It seems to be the most balanced......where you still have tons of size and length and enough shooting.

I would still think that Capela and DFS are still not really good offensively in the long term.
