Need more speed at running back, tight end and receiver. Going to be tough to address all in one draft considering they need three offensive lineman too.

I was really hoping theyd round out the RB room by grabbing Sean Tucker but then Tampa Bay backtracked and extended him. Alas...

I could definitely be down with another OL or 2 to add to the room. Probably depth. Otherwise I am looking at the draft for any real improvement from here.

I see lots of smoke about Wyatt Teller, but I would prefer Chris Paul or Jamaree Sayler.

    Younger
    More upside
    Might be cheaper

I think both fit gap scheme.

    just my $.02

Watch him finally be healthy and have a very good year.

    Or not.

I'm still disgusted they didn't offer Mays more than Detroit. We needed a young good center more than a safety to boost our OLine, help our running game, and give CJ a chance to be better.

Moreau is the first TE Houston has had in a long time that can legitimately hold their own in pass protection or run game vs edge rushers.

In 63 PBLK opportunity in 2022 he allowed 0 pressures.

FWIW, PFF rated Jake Andrews as the 26th best center (61.6 overall, 67.2 Pass Block and 59.5 Run Block) and Cade Mays as the 24th best (62.4 overall, 69.4 Pass Block, and 58.4 Run Block)

Even though Cade Mays is the more established player, it's perfectly plausible that the Texans don't view Cade Mayes as an upgrade worth taking a cap hit. Moreover, Jake Andrews was playing much of the season injured, so he might improve next year. It's not unreasonable for them to view Jake Andrews good enough for the short term to bridge us to the next center.

It is unfortunate there is only one top tier center this free agency, and the rest are 3rd tier and below. If they don't sign a center, I'm fairly certain they will try to pick up one of the better ones in this draft.

The TE room is crowded, I`m not sure B Jordan will have a place on the team after being injured the last 2 years, the jury is still out on Stover

I like this signing and the ones Nick has made so far but I have this fear he won't get at least 1 more O Lineman through FA, I wish he would have been more aggressive, but Nick just isn't like that. You can build through the draft blah, blah, blah but come on man, pick up at least one more O Lineman, hell Teller just got cut, swoop him up

I would agree that Nick probably sees Jake as "serviceable" and I would say he is OK, but Dam, we need a few explosive players on the O Line to mask the stench of the rest. I can see Jake playing this year and Nick drafting his replacement this year and letting him learn, no way you put a rookie center out there, let him sit and learn.........................I really want G Dunker at RT, but with the signing of the Colts player, I assume it's a moot point, plus they would have to move up to get him

Yeah, I hear you. I'm disappointed on having an OLine that might still be mediocre, and not great. I'm not counting on rookies to step in next year and play like seasoned veterans. For those happy we got a safety instead of putting more money into higher tier linemen I don't want to hear CJ excuses based on the OLine this year.
