Signing a cheap experienced all around backup tight end in free agency like Moreau makes a lot of sense. Still got Stover if healthy so no need to use a pick on a tight end unless there is great value.
Javon Hargrave just got cut by Vikes. I would not be opposed to adding him to IDL room on a team friendly deal. Meco will get you paid Javon
[Schefter] From Minnesota to Green Bay: Former Vikings DT Javon Hargrave reached agreement today on a 2-year deal for $23 million, including $13 million this year with the Packers, per Drew Rosenhaus.
Would have preferred Kolar or Bellinger, but I like Moreau... I just didn't think he was leaving NO after everything he had been through
Next to no way Jags deal in the division, but a 2nd for BTJ is worth the gamble given his contract is cheap and we don’t know exactly what Dell will look like in return. We need weapons. I have zero faith now that we grab a TE in this draft even though a guy like Stowers might be just what we need. So unless you think you have his sort of upside in later rounds, it’s worth asking. I know he didn’t go to Iowa State, but just saying.
Weapons. We need guys who can get open routinely and catch. Nico is the only guy who routinely fits that bill and scares defenses. Without him, we looked like we had nothing left and then Schultz got hurt too. We cannot wait around for weapons with our window open now. At the way we’ve this far gone about FA, the difference we’re hoping for is better protection + Monty + Dell returning. I don’t think those latter two are enough. Nico needs help and I wouldn’t wait around hoping someone happens to figure it out in the WR room. Take a shot like we tried to when we had Nico/Diggs/Dell.
Man Mario Edwards thing sucks. all of the depth at IDL is basically gone. That’s another big draft priority. C, LB, DL, CB, G, WR.
