Lol, you’re the only one posting here who was at that game, so you’ll need to fill us in… I will say the environment for all these games has been electric enough to forget that they “don’t count”… which is why they’ll still happen another 20+ years from now.
Been to a few so far, definitely has better atmosphere than you'd expect. I'm looking forward to going Monday as US/Mexico should be amazing. But I absolutely don't want our stars participating if it's this close to season. 3/4 places are domed/refractable. Play this in late November so minor injuries are not a problem.
Playoff atmosphere without the health problems of Astros playoff baseball. Duran certainly looked at home.
Absolutely hilarious seeing the Mariners clubhouse potentially blow up Edit: Have to click on the second tweet to translate it. The reporter asked him if they were joking and Randy essentially said it wasn’t and that Cal can shove “the good to see you” up his ass (Cal said this while denying his handshake).
I’ll never root for that b*stard Aaron Judge, even when he wraps himself in the American flag. Good luck, Italy. In bocca al lupo, paisans.
The WBC has been awesome all the way around. Real momentum for the sport and the event. And Houston has aced being a host city by every imaginable metric. Good environment around the ballpark, great crowds, intense atmosphere, diverse population that leads to quality crowds at all games. I’d be surprised if Houston doesn’t host a pool with the U.S. and Mexico both again next time around. It’s about as ideal of a host city/ballpark as MLB could ask for.
