Did I say he never plays well against quality competition? I said the only time you can expect him to play well is with those 3 scenarios you can find the random game here or there where he didn’t embarrass himself on both ends of the floor, but for every one game like that, there’s plenty more games like tonight not surprised at all about what he did this game or against Miami…also not surprised that he dropped 30 against the tanking Wizards if he embarrasses himself in the playoffs, I won’t be surprised then either
Well, I would say that once again, you are exaggerating. Here are Sengun's stats for the season (so far). Sengun vs. Winning Teams (above .500) 19.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 7.4 assists. His assists rise while his points and rebounds drop, but minimal statistical difference. Sengun vs. Losing Teams (below .500) 21.2 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists, these are the games where his average scoring and rebounding rise a little, but overall, not a huge statistical difference. For the season he is averaging 20.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 6.3 assists. He is ranked 11th in the NBA in rebounding and 19th in assists. Overall, there is just not much statistical difference between Sengun playing against teams with winning or losing records. Once again, he has been inconsistent, but not because of the reasons you stated. I can understand your frustrations, particularly after games like tonight, but your statements just continue to be flat out wrong.
He needs to strengthen his hips. He's shying away of all contact on offense and defense. Hes not able to beat players to their spot and Jabari offers 0 help defense.
This season needs to be a wake up call for him. He needs to figure out if he is going to be just the next Sabonis or whether he can improve his game beyond that. He is only 23 and has several years until his NBA prime. Up to him to get better. He has definitely flashed potential to be a great player, but this season has been up and down.
This is exactly what he is. Same numbers year over year. No improvement to ****ing anything. It ran its course and he could serve a rebuilding team but it's time to move on. This team needs to move on from selfish and dumb players. Bro isnt even Julius Randle.
Sengun fans look at his PPG, APG ETC.But i'm more concerned about his TS and EFFICIENCY. You put anyone out there give them 15 and more shots per game and averaging over 35mins and it's not hard to be getting 20PPG. He takes shot away from open shooters when he keeps trying to post up with trash efficiency like today... but also all the shooters except Reed were trash today.
I do not believe in a bad season, you guys were the ones hyping him up ......lol.....and now cutting bait..... Same will be done to Amen in due time, also to Sheppard when he is older. The organization is the problem all along. You all just deserve burner accounts after burner accounts.
Negative 25 tonight! Dude is absolutely garbage on D. Lol @ the dudes trying to convince everyone he was good on defense at the beginning of the year.
Sengun’s defense was so bad in this game it was literally on a “can’t play Kanter” level and on offense, my favorite was when he got stuffed in transition by an ancient Al Horford and still put his hands in the air pleading for a nonexistent foul from the refs
I also cannot wait until and soft Alphie is off of my team. Too fat, slow, weak, lazy, and slobbish to be our franchise player.
Stacking up those AWOL numbers... He's not decisive, is inefficient & his shot diet is disgusting. Getting worse by the day. It's not a good practice to blame Ime for everything.
Last 25 games he's been real close to avg. Amen has been a man without a position. Alpi has been 16 ppg for awhile. Maybe summer fatigue from euroball
In other news the Vipers signed Ömer Yurtseven who played as center next to Alpi in the Turkish team. He played for the Jazz and Heat a few seasons ago and actually had a very nice stretch when he became the starting center for the Heat for like 20 games or so because Bam was injured. He is a very strong rebounder, lob threat and neither fat nor an alcoholic. Afterwards he had an injury himself and couldn't get another contract with the Heat. I don't really believe that he will make it back into the NBA but nonetheless interesting that he is on the Vipers now.
Good for him, I enjoyed watching him for the national team. Good luck to him in getting back in to the league proper.
Sengun bounce back game with 28 point and 6 rebounds? LOL, I thought Clingan was supposed to destroy him. Haters tonight:
