Unfortunately when this went on the Jumbotron and CJ felt the camera close to him, he took off running straight backward 10 yards then turned around and starting firing his popcorn wildly into the opposing crowd. Luckily security had absolutely no trouble tackling him.

Why is next yr the make or break year? Why not make or break in 2 years? Or why wasn't last year your make or break year? He was historically bad. What you've said and I agree with is everything has to be perfect for CJ to be successful. In the NFL rarely is everything perfect.

I'm a Christian and I believe CJ sucking has more to do with him not putting in the work than anything to do with Christ.

Fair point, he does have 2 years to show us.............last year was horrid but in this environment the QB will get every opportunity and if and when they pick up his 5th year, IMO that will be it, if he doesn't show he has improved. The last thing I want is to be in a position the Fins or Cards are in, you overpaid because you had to or felt you had to. As hard as it is to find a franchise QB, it's worse to pay one that's on the cusp of a Franchise QB but cant quite get there. Hell, for this offense give me a Sam Darnold type and pay everyone else

If they don't extend CJ before the season, he's got one year, not two, to "show us".

If there is an extension, my wild guess is it will be structured to make him cuttable in two years, maybe one.

The clock is ticking on CJ.

“That’s not accurate. Once we traded out, we were out. I don’t know who had that report, it’s probably the same people that reported that we were trading CJ.”

    Trade CJ? Now? Nuts indeed.

Life happens. Now he needs to get better but being average will do with this defense. But I think he will surpise some here going forward.

He is better than his showing during that Pat game. He will remember his failure and strive to be better.

at least CJ is doing his job recruiting offensive lineman instead of hangin with Micah Parsons this summer.

Compared to this field, this shows CJ is actually good against pressure. But his clean pocket rank is low. That's why he's middle of the pack and not horrible. Cuz not much distance when his clean pocket is already kinda low.

Which can mean, low clean pocket play is a worst fear of a "broken QB" syndrome. Or its that CJ just isn't that good overall.. and maybe he has Nico bailing him out with plays in pressure to improve his pressure rating.

It would actually be more encouraging if it showed CJ was great in clean pocket, and in top 5 in worse performance under pressure. Because that would mean "just fix the line" is an easy solution. But that CJ is still low even with a clean pocket, hmm...

    - But some incompletes that this stat doesn't show: (1) Doesn't show how MUCH pressure rate a QB faces each game. Ex: Jared Goff might be the worst under pressure, but he might only face 5 pressures, and Burrow & Stroud faces 20. That higher volume will drag down overall performance much worse (2) Injuries to QB. Pre and post concussion performance. (3) Injuries to teammates, offense lineup changes (4) Quality of opponent. No excuses on this, beat the best to be the best. But we did see difference between Drake Maye postseason from the cupcake reg season.
