"Don't have to agree on the compensation..." It's funny to me how, suddenly, the 128th pick in the draft is some untouchable resource no one can believe the Texans squandered... Roughly 20% of fourth round picks have even average NFL careers. It is both a long- and crap- shoot to find value on day 3 of the draft. Assuming health, David Montgomery is going to be light-years more valuable, and impactful, than any 4th round pick in 2026 and, likely, 2027. We all need to move on from pearl-clutching the compensation. It is a relatively small price to pay to get a guy who immediately upgrades one of your glaring weaknesses.
I say throw a couple mil at Emmanuel Wilson or someone else competent and lock down that 3rd rb. No point drafting a rb in a bad rb draft.
Every year we get a new running back instead of fixing the offensive line. You think they would learn.
Their RB was hurt last year. Seeing that 4-5 of the ol starters will be new next year, I would say that they are working on fixing the ol. Lets see what they do in the draft and fa before passing judgement. Would you be happy if they signed Mays and Smith in fa and drafted an OG that can start right away?
Caserio clearly knows if he doesn't fix the o-line, he's gone. For now, I'm assuming he has a plan that will become clear within the first couple days of free agency. I suspect his statement about using multiple picks in the draft are a smokescreen to mask aggressive intentions in free agency. He simply cannot afford to wait and rely on just the draft to overhaul the o-line.
LOL...at first glance on the cellphone the rash guard on his right arm blended in with the jersey and I immediately thought "holy ****, dude has skinny arms for a RB"
