I think giving up on Sengun would be the height of stupidity.

This season was the first season that was an outright failure in his career trajectory. Instead of selling for pennies on the dollar I wanna see how he responds this offseason.

The fact you’re impressed by this game says all I need to know.

The fact you can't comprehend the correlation between a game Sengun isn't forced to spend the entirety of the time behind the perimeter, and him not being the standard he's been recently, speaks volumes.

Quick, what retort do you have to direct attention away from being flat out shown as being an idiot?

Hey if people are impressed by a game where Sengun was a -4 against a bottom feeder team in which they won by a handful of points while putting up 8 TOs more power to them. I don’t need to resort to name calling my dude.

Hey, if someone can't comprehend how being constantly forced to play to his literal weakness, means he needs to take time to get back to his best when he is finally allowed to play to his strength - because you know - rhythm and consistency and confidence is a huge thing in professional sports, more power to them.

See what I did there? I made you look like an idiot yet again. Name calling is due where it's warranted. Stupidity really needs to be called out so people better themselves in turn improving Clutchfans. It's turned into a cesspool with idiots lately.

Don't feel too bad idiot, there's been plenty of you around the last few years. Just think of me as the garbage man, i'm taking garbage like you out.

Not gonna lie I expected more from Alpi this season and I don't want to excuse all his shortcomings but it's also very easy to see, how this season is a difficult one for him:

played playoffs last year, then went to the EuroBasket finals, started new season like two weeks after that, the arrival of KD, the absence of FVV, no PG at all, no Steven Adams, playing for Udoka, basically playing out of position, the Dickerson stuff. And I also wouldn't be surprised if he is playing trough some nagging injuries.

Still averages career highs in assists, steals and blocks while averaging 20 PTS a night. So yeah even this bad season is actually pretty decent for a 23 year old center. He is definitely not the biggest issue with this team.

He needs to quit playing in EuroBasket or anywhere other than the NBA for that matter. Tell him if we can’t write it into his contract we’re going to trade him to Utah.

I think he is doing okay, not particularly good or bad as the haters try to frame it. The only real issue is shooting and efficiency. He needs to get better at it, at least at the ft line for a starter. All the other stuff is circumstantial or simply not true (for example regressing on fts or bad defense).

Offensively Sengun has been trending downward since year 2, which ironically was when Silas was still here. As a whole he has been trending downward after year 3. All the early career Jokic-lite playstyle has seemingly just been coached out of him. I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 years people look back at Udoka and Sengun and compare this to JVG and Yao. Where Yao came into the league as a sleek 7-footer with touch and range, and in today's league would get played more like Wemby or Chet. But JVG bulked him up and turned him into pure post player, leading to a career filled with turnovers from bad entry passes and injuries from constant banging down low.

Not going to happen. And it's not even only for emotional and patriotic reasons. From a business perspective playing for the NT is super important. Think of all the ad money and he can get himself a nice job in the Turkish basketball federation after retirement etc.

The haters grasping at straws, like he is the only all-star ever to feast on lesser teams. I guess only 10% of the games count? Like you haters are holding the other stars to the same standards:rolleyes:. I guess we are we back to moving goal posts for only the player you hate. Why didn’t holiday or Tari or Capela get 32 points and 13 rebounds if it was so easy?

Take your sour grapes and go suck on them haters lol!

Lack of offense coaching. Wish we would go after Malone but Fertits is not eating 5 years of Udoka's contract.
