1st, 2nd or 3rd out of 500+ players this season in the 100% categories . LOL at the F in shot quality... no one else in the league can make the shots he takes.

The special players make hard shots, that's what makes them special. That's why all the imitators (think derozen, ingram types) are completely useless and just a waste of money.

    that midrange shot quality LOL

i'll be honest, durant's game is boring AF but it's effective. i didn't think it was THIS effective.

dude is not flashy with handles, dunks, insane post game

he just shoots over people in the MIDRANGE. if that's not boring, idk what is.

People have 2 opinions on midrange. Either appreciation, or its boring

The appreciation of midrange is that there's a bit of art to it. Its seen as "savvy" shot selection, requiring a particular "smooth touch" for it It can be spot up j off a pass from finding the "soft spot". Or from dribble driving, and turnarounds from the better skilled.

Its utilizing all areas of the court with actual creativity. Instead of just "Lazy 3 / Paint" and nothing else which can also feel boring. Its also some ultimate in "take what the defense gives"

But for the most part, a midrange can look vanilla. Cuz it can look safe & non-committal. (Not an aerial contorting layup, not a dunk, not a logo 3)

iono. when CP3 was here, his mid range didn't look boring or vanilla.

perhaps he was small and everything he does look smooth af

Yes the style & form of it matters. CP3 was smooth dagger precision

An old obscure example of "safe settling" boring was Patrick Patterson. Big tank built body, but no post game, no bully ball force, no lob threat, no dribbling driving, no 3's (at the time), no off-ball cutting, maybe 1 screen and just drift out for a 10 foot risk free 1960's jumper.

At least Jabari will dribble into middies & turnarounds even with no handle. 2Pat had no "bag" to speak of, no fun
