Why? This team can’t close games. The guards on this team have zero balls, the Coach is an idiot offensively and they have Zero continuity when it matters. They are a middle of the pack team primed for a Warp speed - quick exit from the playoffs.

Kind of how I feel too. Just as a brand of basketball, the product on the floor is just almost unwatchable... which is crazy knowing that you have:

-One of the greatest scorers in the history of the game
-One of the best athletes in the league
-One of the craftiest low post scorers, and passers in the league

For that combination to produce such a garbage product is honestly really hard to do. Like you have to try hard to be unwatchable but somehow they achieve that goal almost every night with youth basketball level turnovers, and the inability to hit a shot.

    ......

To that point though, the "run it back" scenario means that Stone is counting on Steven Adams to be healthy a full season, and still be effective at his age. Keep in mind that the past 3 years he has yet to be healthy more than half a season. And this brand of basketball only succeeds when you have an insane level of offensive rebounds to get those extra possessions.

Relying on Fred too to create offensive out of nowhere widely disregards who he has been his entire career which is more of an off ball point guard who does secure the rock, and direct traffic. However he's not someone you put the ball in his hands to create in the half-court. That would STILL be Al-P, and KD next season.... who both are still going to be flawed most likely unless Sengun learns how to shoot a GDamn basketball.

So be careful about thinking the "run it back" scenario isn't just going to produce the same results knowing that Adams is likely close to being done as an older veteran with trouble staying healthy, and assuming an aging FVV coming off an ACL injuries solves everything offensively.

And yeah.... sitting at the 6th seed.... with this bad of a basketball team with an inflated record because of the start of the season.... is kind of the worst spot to be (if we had our pick). Since we don't have our pick is whatever, but if we did have our pick I think all of us would be begging Ime to start Isiah Crawford, and tank because this team is waaayyyy worse than their record says they are.

Why? You think the Rockets will be able to stop anyone on that team? Hell, even Ayton was dominating us last time. LA is mediocre defensively, sure, but that's irrelevant when you're this bad on offense.

Not to mention we suck on the road. We're below .500 now away from Toyota Center and would not have home court in the playoffs.

Best case scenario is play in
The first sentence undercuts the second, the Rockets are horrible to watch and going nowhere so running it back is the exact opposite of what they should do.
