I would love to see a McCain / Powell ticket. Problem is if this is too over the top for military experience... I guess it depends on the state of the country.

If you can find it, I suggest you read "The Price of Union" by Herbert Agar, a 1934 Pulitzer Prize winner for his history of the Presidency, "The People's Choice."

Of all my books about history, I prize "The Price of Union" (1950)the most because it details (with letters and memoranda from principals, their friends and relatives) why events unfolded the way they did. It's fascinating to understand the love/hate relationships among America's historical figures.

Your major is not just for teachers. Without knowledge of where we've been, we have no clue as to where we need to go.

 

I've never really been impressed with McCain. I'm hoping for a Rudy/Condi ticket.

...I'm not certain how he could ever get the Republican nomination.

 

Jeb Bush (with Rove's help). We will have 16 straight years of Bush.

 

Since we have a Republican majority in all 3 branches of congress, let's change the rules so that Ahhhnold can run.

Seriously though, we could have a race between McCain/Rice & Hilary/Obama. How's that for a couple of tough choices for voters?

Hilary, while very smart, is too liberal for my taste. I like all 3 of the other candidates.
