?

If the Bucks would not accept Sengun would you trade Amen if that was the only way to get Giannis?

You can't gut this team for anyone. Period. And that's an entirely different discussion....

No! We are 2nd seed and the emergence of Amen as a defensive anchor and quickly developing offensive game is a major reason for it. Alpi is also showing strong signs of progress. This is a Hard pass. If it were for Wemby however I would consider it. The only player I am considering moving on this roster is Jalen Green and even then I wouldn't do it for Giannis.

Thanks for putting this out there. It's a solid example of how easy it is to overrate our own guys. That said, I'm with you and I wouldn't make this trade either.

Amen's gotta be off the table in this pitch. I'd push to keep Jalen too, though that's not a dealbreaker for me. But if Alperen Sengun is really as good as everyone's making him out to be, shouldn't Milwaukee be thrilled to get him in the deal? Whose offering a better young player than that? Maybe New Orleans if they throw in Zion?

Haha, ain’t that the truth. Imagine the Spurs stepping up with a blockbuster: Devin Vassell, Jeremy Sochan and three draft picks!

Wait what? If the Bucks call and say "yo, Raf mate, do me a favour, we want Jalen Green, how about we give you Giannis" then you get that contract signed asap and delete that mu****ers number so he can't take it back lmao.

If it was a straight up trade, sure, but to get to his salary level the rockets would have to give up way too much. Likely some combination of Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and Reed Sheppard just to get the numbers to match. That doesn't seem like a win to me.

Salary matching isn’t an issue here. Sengun’s set to make $34 million, Giannis is at $54 million. That gap is easy to bridge with guys we wouldn’t lose sleep over. To make Milwaukee happy is a more challenging task

I love Amen, but imagine trading Penny Hardaway for Hakeem Olajuwon at 30. Done and done.

    Wow!!

    Terrible trade for the Rockets...

    We get left with what?

    FVV*
    Brooks
    Grant
    Giannis
    Smith

    Bench
    Sheppard
    Eason

No real bigs, and we have cashed in everything to go all in on that lineup...

And the take for the Bucks is they want more because Jalen Green is earning $33M??
In that deal, view him as a salary match, and it is still a huge coup for the Bucks!!

Its a dumb trade why even have Jerami Grant there? If ever we trade for Giannis it should be strictly between Rox and Milwaukee. Also if I read it right Rox gave up Jalen, Sengun, Amen, Whitmore and all their picks for Giannis? And also take on Jerami Grant bad contract? lmao. I doubt even Nico Harris does that trade.

Amen is basically a 21 yr old Giannis and Giannis is a 30 yr old Amen. I am not in any hurry why age 9 years for no reason? Not to mention the king's ransom you need to give out. Pass.

Jalen Green and parts, ok. Amen and Sengun are another matter entirely.

If it's one for one I'd do either in a heartbeat and never look back tbh. If it's ransoming all of our pieces then it's a **** no.

I'd make that trade in a heartbeat....

I love Amen's defensive intensity and certainly want him on our roster... but Giannis is a bonafide MVP.

I'll take the proven commodity over potential most any day.

Rockets' potential Giannis interest should be music to the Bucks' ears

    https://behindthebuckpass.com/rockets-potential-giannis-interest-should-be-music-to-the-bucks-ears

This is exactly the type of move Bucks fans want us to make.

    Don't do it Stone!

numbers don't lie, i'm fully out on Giannis.

Trade KD if he wants out, otherwise just get FVV back, find a way to turn DFS into an NBA player via trade and just let the guys continue to grow. 1st round exit isn't the end of the world.

More and more I'm feeling like Giannis' per-dollar-spent value should be viewed as being similar to KD at this point, given his age, reliance on athleticism, injury history, and the contract extension he's in line to receive. Any package for him shouldn't exceed what we gave up for KD. Amen and Sengun are both too valuable to include in such a deal.

I might consider offering FVV + Jabari + one mediocre draft pick (the next upcoming Phoenix pick). Our roster construction would be a catastrophe, but we'd be able to trade Sengun for something along the lines of Okongwu + NAW + draft capital, or Ware + Wiggins, or some similar roster-balancing deal.

Even then you do still have the Amen/Giannis fit problem. But, at least you have a more balanced roster with some young talent and draft capital to move forward with when KD and Giannis retire.

Anything including Sengun or Amen, let alone with draft picks too, should be a non-starter.
