Ime Udoka after Rockets can't stop Pacers in Indiana 3/4/2025

I wanted Sam Cassell.

 

Ime may not be the guy to take this team to a ring, right guy after Silas but his lack of offensive focus is a problem.

I want to believe in Fred as a good 3 point shooter but I don't know. He's 34.2% and 38.7$ last two years and 34% this year. I think his generally just bad play all year has me down on him. But I also think Ime stays with him as our starter next year so he needs to show it.

If Fred is good, then he and Dillon as good 3 point shooters still isn't enough for me. I think we need 4 good 3 point starters or 2 good and 1 great 3 point starter.

 

I just don't see any reason to think FVV is significantly different from his career average in terms of his true talent level. I doubt that age is severely affecting him just yet. So that's why I still believe in his shooting (and opposing defenses do too, they don't like to leave him open).

On the team needs I agree completely. Adding one really great 3P shooter would be transformative.

 

Add both Cam Johnson AND Naz Reid in offseason. Injuries always happen + becoming transformative is too critical for Rockets next step to hinge on the availability of one player.
