2000 was 25 years ago

 

Already looking forward to 2026.

 

Oh I remember.

Was at a houseparty, and I stashed a old bottle of Dom that my folx had been saving for 30 years or so, and they had given it to me for the express purpose of Y2K midnight

I walk into friend's kitchen at about 11:45 and look in the bottom of the "lettuce drawer" where I hidden it...nope. So now I'm slightly pissed and my buddy and I go on a recon mission around the house...he find this couple who were terrified at how mad I was going to be as I'm saying "that was my ******* NYE bottle", they had drank about 1 glass, and said "can we pay you or anything?, so sorry etc"

"give me that bottle, and pay that guy for the effort"...found out later they gave my buddy about $80 and a joint, several of us the friends had a Dom toast at midnight, and those 2 idiots and us were all friends later that evening

 

Was anyone else at the Prince concert at the Summit for Dec 31st, 1999.

I still don’t now how Houston got that show
