I know everyone expects them to be elite but they were very middle of the pack in a lot of defensive categories last year and we're playing a couple of rookies and lost a bunch of impact players.

Texans haven't been aggressive enough on offense. Our secondary is suspect, especially on deep balls.

Their new OC Shane Waldron runs a West Coast Offense, that's why. Lots of 3-TE sets + quick-slants/stops and swing passes to get the ball out of Caleb's hands quickly. He rarely takes more than 3 or 5 steps in his drop-backs. Makes it easier for a young QB to move the ball, but typically a little harder to score TD's that way. Can definitely bleed clock though with slow, methodical drives.

 

Calling it now--if he doesn't drastically change his decisionmaking, Williams will have an injury-riddled, injury-shortened career. Some of these decisions have been stupid as hell, even when they got him a score.
