Had forgotten about this thread. I worked on some school projects a few years ago for well
Off suburbs like Carmel. One of the high schools I worked on could rival Carmel in facilities.

At the risk of D&D territory to me this shows the inequality of US education where well of places with expensive properties can fund schools like that while places with low property values struggle to maintain crumbling schools.

But again I walked three miles in the snow uphill both ways to go to school.

I’ll never forget the first school I went to that had air conditioning. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Things have changed.
