I'm about to go broke buying parts for my long-overdue new PC. A lot of good sales on pc components here and there. About the only thing I couldn't find in a good sale was my case, but no biggie. I need to get a monitor, but not sure if I want a 4k or stick with 1440, so I may wait a while for that.

 

Resisted getting the crappy $99 4K Amazon tv

but got the Apple Watch 8

Pretty disappointing Prime day.

 

Lots of other sales at places like walmart.com, bestbuy.com, etc

 

TBH as others have noticed, it sucks.

 

Really general question (lol), but... unless I really need something, I tend to overlook most of these "sales" - it's usually a good way to buy a lot of stuff you don't really need. Before the sales start, you may want to have a list of "these are things I need" and then go hunting.

 

I look at my usual buys then grab it in bulk. Deodorants, lotions, bars, shampoo/conditioner, etc...

Electronics are already the 1 thing inflation isn't really ****ing with. Paper towels have like 8x'd since 2018 but TVs are cheaper than ever. Lulz

Going off on a tangent here, clothing is really plummeting lately too. Used cars are down but you'd think it would be by a lot more than it is to be honest.

 

Anyone have recommendations on a mattress, been needing a new one in the guest room, queen sized.

 

I am looking also but dam mattresses are so hard to buy based on laying on it for 3 minutes, last one I got from Mattress Firm was supposed to be a "decent" one but after a few months I cant stand it. I am afraid to buy one of those, "in the box" brands like Purple.

 

Yeah, I guess I'll have to go to one of those mattress spots locally and pick something then order off Amazon if it's even on sale.

that isn't true. that was a scare tactic line that they could and completely out of date because car are mostly aluminum now.
