    This is why I don't like a lot of the ESPN, Apple TV crap etc. Let the players and managers play without the dumb distractions. It adds nothing to the broadcast but annoyance.

    i believe the network pays the player whoever is being interviewed. So i want to say it's up to the player to accept the interview or not. I could be wrong so don't quote me on it.
