Pacers big time choked but Celtics also got 4x the free throws and every 50-50 call. Their was a point in the game when Pacers had more paint points but Celtics had +15 more free throws.
Anyone checked Haliburton's bank account after that game? Did it go up significantly? Those two turnovers just dribbling the ball out of bounds - what in the world did I watch. Not only doing it once.... but to do it twice in crucial moments. Sheesh.
Hailburton really needs to stay humble and stay focused instead of telling teammates to focus, showing his frustration with their mistakes and celebrate every basket like he's done something impressive. This cocky attitude is starting to get annoying and clearly he's not backing it up. The reason why they won against the Knicks was because they kept playing their game, a team game, and they got away from that. Particularly Turner was tuned out. If they can fix that and Haliburton can stop with the antics, they might win a game or even 2 and make it interesting. Pacers definitely have the ability to make it a series, but Celtics seem different this year. That Holiday addition really is the difference maker right now. And major respect to Horford who keeps delivering in the play-offs. In the past it was either Brown or Tatum who choked, but both seem very locked in.
That game was basically two losses for the Pacers. Cause that should have been a win, and now they still have to win 4 out of 6. Not gonna happen.
I think that they actually did play a team game, as evidenced by an unheard-of 38 assists on 53 made basket and 7 players in double figures. They just made far too many turnovers, often unforced. Well, even one less turnover (the inbounds pass) and they would have won. Maddening.... With a short rest from an emotional 7th game on the road and facing a well-rested Celtics team, I think most people expected a blowout. Saddest thing is, it is tougher to put an OT loss behind you than a 30 point loss.
What a historic choke job. Even though they obviously played well enough to be in position to win, their self-destruction at the end reinforces my feeling the Pacers just don't belong there.
Let’s see if they call the game fair this time. Celtics having 20 more free throws when they both scored the same amount of paint points was absurd.
