"Russian forces have seized at least nine villages amid a new push in northeastern Ukraine that began on Friday, the most square miles taken per day since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022." https://time.com/6977403/russia-kharkiv-offensive/
It'll get worse before that 60B starts filtering down the supply chain through procurement and training. They needed it in October before Trump and Johnson blocked it with the immigration bill. There isnt a 2 day Amazon Prime shipping option for atacms and ammo rounds. I guess the euros can help a little by sending their delayed stuff from last year. But uh...7hr workdays and one month vacations or something.
That looks much better than previous Secretary of State musical performances. Although I heard Madeline Albright had a really bad ass Siouxie and the Banshee's cover band.
Russia seems to have retaken the initiative despite major losses. Supposedly there are 500,000 Russian armed forces raised and there are no Ukrainian reserves to speak of.
This was always going to be a problem given the differences in sizes between the countries. That doesn’t mean it’s all over for Ukraine. They showed for most of the last two years with sufficient aid they can not only hold off Russia but also strike back.
Ukraine is in big trouble. Russia just opened a new front in the north near Kharkiv and has amassed large forces to move forward there. This is Ukraine's 2nd largest city. Russia's advance in the east continues to move ahead and they continue to take ground. It's a pivotal summer for Ukraine -- things could deteriorate rapidly for them. My concern is that US or NATO forces are sent in to try to prevent a pre-election defeat of Ukraine. Biden is desperate and has proven he will prioritize own interests ahead of those of the country and American people.
Trump pro Russia supporters don't seem to care that Russian troops have slaughtered over 2,000 innocent children so far. It's disgusting.
Ukraine should immediately seek a peace agreement with Russia. This is an unwinnable war for them... unless American or NATO troops get involved -- which does not have political support. Stop ALL the suffering and negotiate a peace deal. Biden is simply incapable of delivering on this leadership opportunity on a global stage. We need a President who can do that.
If we really wanted to spook Putie into nuclear escalation, we could've flooded Ukraine with longer range missiles and remove the prohibition against launching them into Russian soil Years Ago. Ukraine has been hobbled because of the ratf*ckery Trump and Congress pulled 8 months before. I guess you don't have to fight fair to prove a partisan point.
You can't blame Trump for this war -- it happened on Biden's watch and it happened after Biden provoked Russia with the strategic cooperation agreement with NATO and Ukraine in Nov 2021. All foreign policy experts worth their salt knew that agreement would lead to war. And Biden did it anyway. Easily avoidable -- and now we've wasted $200 billion on an unwinnable war... and hundreds of thousands have died.
Nice deflect. There was a half-passed immigration bill built upon the requirement of a foreign aid deal that candidate Trump squashed because his cronies at the House were terrified at defying his decree. We got neither last year and candidate blowhard is promising bigger and better deals no one in Congress is believing.
Putin could now defeat Ukraine within months This is no longer a threat that the West can ignore. We must act now to prevent the outbreak of another world war https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/05/15/putin-could-now-defeat-ukraine-within-months/
Just ignore these pro Russian idiots. Attention to idiocy is what they want. They want false anger, fake arguments and division. It’s Russian tactics 101. They can’t win in real facts so they create distractions
