Does the sponsor resident have to be a citizen or are they just bringing their comrades over? Do these folks receive any gov bennies?
They have to be a resident and they have to make above 75k+ and be willing to sponsor them financially. The folks coming on planes have to also buy their own tickets. DHS isn't buying tickets. Braindead disinformation everywhere
I realize you really don't want to know and would rather spout trump maga disinformation, https://www.uscis.gov/CHNV For those not trolling, here is more info on the program: https://www.globalrefuge.org/news/what-is-the-chnv-parole-program/
From your link... To serve as a supporter, an individual or individual representing an entity must: Be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident; hold a lawful status in the United States such as Temporary Protected Status or asylum; or be a parolee or recipient of deferred action or Deferred Enforced Departure;
It also says below that: Pass security and background vetting, including for public safety, national security, human trafficking, and exploitation concerns; and Demonstrate sufficient financial resources to receive, maintain, and support the individual(s) they are agreeing to support for the duration of their parole period.
You were asking about government "bennies" and according to that they should be economically sufficient already.
The core of right wing ideology in America is claiming the group at the top of this bar graph are the most oppressed ethnicity in America. You use Twitter algorithmic feed anecdotes to create a narrative. The reality is one side of the political spectrum plays victim undeservedly at an industrial scale and it isn't "liberals" or "leftists". Hell libertarian white property owners are the biggest culprits of this victim mentality. They believe their inability to do things like exploit labor is them being victims. It's rather pathetic.
